Anybody can join, just request to join this wiki and add yourself, we will approve you as we check the requests to join a few times a day, you need to be registered to edit this wiki, then just add/edit anything!

 

I was fed up of being too fat so I decided to lose weight and increase fitness (running in my case) on August 29th 2008 and was challenged in public so here is the deal: we're a group of social software junkies who will report in public together on what is our goal and how we progress. Anybody is welcome to join the only rule is to report in public, there is no beginning and end date per say to join but we're quite a few who are taking 2 months from Aug 30th as a challenge.

NOTE: The occasional piece of chicken and homemade café mochas are fair game.

  16. Cathy Baker - @cathbaker on Twitter. Starting September 1 till November 30. Goal of minimum 2 lbs per week. Seems reasonable. Cutting out snacks and decreasing eating due to stress. Increasing exercise. Love the idea of watching what I eat on Flickr. Will start ... now. Keeping progress here. Geotagging Flickr Photos of meals.   17. Yann Kerhervé - @yannk (twitter) - yann (seesmic) - 1.80 for 77kg. It's been a while I wanted to write software around fitness tracking. I'm a new dad and seriously to control my shape.
  18. lezepf - @lezepf on Twitter & seesmic too - on Sept 1st - I'm 1.78m and 84kg (I have to check : no balance here...), let's start with recovering normal sleep periods and then have some home training and then be under 80kg for Chrismas.

Exercises

  • For core strength, do Janda sit ups (I [Rob Cooper] did these all the time when training before, I had a solid stomach). Warning, they are tough!
  • Do 100 push ups! an simple, gradual, six (6) week program, try it out: One hundred pushups
    .
